To provide support to WCO-BAN and national health authorities to enhance collaboration by providing technical support on national health policies, plans, strategies, health information system and implementation of WHO Collaborative programmes.
Description of duties:
Under the overall guidance of WHO Representative to Bangladesh, the Consultant will perform day-to-day work under the direct supervision of the Medical Officer Public Health Administrator (PHA). He or she will:

1. Assist in building and maintaining health system networks or partnerships, including the Health, Nutrition, and Population (HNP) Consortium of development partners;
2. Provide high quality administrative support including the management of HNP Consortium events, communications, and information;
3. Review and propose recommendations on research protocols, project/programme proposals, reports, speeches, and other technical documents;
4. Develop communication materials, tools, reports, and other technical documents; and
5. Carry out other relevant tasks assigned by the PHA.
Essential :
 MBBS degree

Functional Skills and Knowledge:

 Skills in communicating and facilitating coordination among decision makers and stakeholders
 Ability to work in cross-cultural environment and in a team

Core Competencies:
 Communicating in a credible and effective way
 Producing result
 Moving forward in a changing environment
 Building and promoting partnership across the organization and beyond

Computer Literacy:

 Proficient in using computer software applications (MS-Office),
 Composing e-mails and creating multi-media presentations.

Essential :
 3 years relevant professional experience

Desirable :
 Working experience with an international settings /NGO's /Research Institution would be an asset
Excellent knowledge of spoken and written both in English and Bengali
