OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME :
The WHO Global Service Centre (GSC), Malaysia, provides specialized services to all staff and all WHO offices worldwide in respect of human resources, procurement, finance and support of corporate IT applications and infrastructure. The aim of the GSC is to provide the swift and reliable delivery of a comprehensive array of products and services covering all these fields. The Global Finance team (GFI) within the GSC provides processing and accounting services for payroll, pension, accounts payable, travel and expenses and awards transactions as set out in the Service Catalogue.
Description of duties:
1. Responsible for performing all the necessary system steps and configurations whenever any new element is introduced in Global Management System (GSM).
2. Prior to release of any new modules/functionality to wider audience ensures that sanity checks are carried out in clone environments.
3. Prepares ad-hoc reports using SQL developer, TOAD software etc. and verifies the output before handing over to management/users.
4. Prepares first action report for job/process failures and notifies payroll functional/business analyst of the system breakdown.
5. Collaborates with ITT support team and prepares generalized templates to streamline the testing activities.
6. Responsible for raising/ prioritizing service requests.
7. Co-ordinates the testing of payroll, cross functional issues and keep various stakeholders informed on the progress.
8. Assist in the identification and planning of configuration and development activities.
9. Assist payroll functional/business analyst during execution of special projects to perform data analysis, testing, conversion etc.
10. Assist payroll functional/business analyst in enhancing the discoverer reporting solution.
11. Ensure monthly Payroll Reconciliations and compliance procedures are systematically followed
12. Other duties as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Essential
University degree in IT or computer science.

Desirable
A degree in Finance or Accounting.
Skills:
Essential
Work requires keeping up-to-date with new/changing procedures and regulations through the study of software tools and automated GSM-Oracle systems, Information circulars, WHO Manual updates, Standard Operating Procedures.
Demonstrated skill and proficiency in the use of computers and information technology. Expertise in the use of MS Office and Web-based software.

Experience:
Essential
1. At least 2 years of experience of Oracle based Payroll and/or HR.
2. Should have at least 1 full life cycle implementation project experience on Oracle Human Resources/ Payroll module.
3. Should have worked on at least 1 support engagement.
4. In depth knowledge of the underlying database record structures and competent with writing SQL queries.

Desirable
1. A good understanding of the Oracle Application Technical Architecture would be an advantage
Languages:
Essential
Excellent knowledge of English both written and spoken.

Annual salary: (Net of tax)
MYR 100,600 at single rate
