OBJECTIFS DU PROGRAMME
To provide technical support to the Democratic Republic of Congo in order to reduce morbidity and mortality due to vaccine preventable diseases by establishing and implementing high quality immunisation disease surveillance activities as well as high quality routine and supplementary immunization activities (SIAs) and to promote integration with other health programmes and interventions.

Description des fonctions
- Reinforcing planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of immunization operations;
- Contributing to the preparation and implementation of high quality SIAs;
- Strengthening the integrated disease surveillance and response;
- Developing a system to strengthen rapid alert and response to public health emergencies;
- Coordinating the investigation of AFP cases, polio cases, NNT cases, measles and yellow fever outbreaks, meningitis, rotavirus, Hib and PBM cases;
- Building capacity in Routine Immunization and surveillance to reduce large number of unvaccinated children;
- Assisting in organizing creative and innovative integrated Surveillance activities;
- Monitoring and evaluating the impact of Routine Immunization in improving the national coverage of children;
- Undertaking operational research in order to improve Routine Immunization activities, surveillance activities and SIAs quality;
- Analysing data and producing reports and relevant technical documents on Routine Immunization activities, surveillance, SIAs and operational research activities;
- Performing other duties as requested by the WR.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUISES
Formation :
Essential: Medical degree from a recognized university with post-graduate degree in Epidemiology.
Desirable: Training in integrated disease surveillance.

Compétences :
Technical expertise in the area of immunization systems support, logistics of integrated disease surveillance and response, logistics of outbreak and other health emergencies.
Ability to provide leadership, to review and analyze programme data, monitor progress and present results.
Excellent communication, teaching and organizational skills.

Skills in teamwork and proficiency in the use of basic data management software is essential.



Expérience :
Essential: At least seven years of experience with three years in planning, monitoring, evaluating and training in Routine Immunization and integrated disease surveillance.

Desirable: field experience in the implementation of national surveillance and Routine Immunization programmes.
Langues :
Excellent knowledge of French or English with a good working knowledge of the other.

Traitment annuel (Net d'impôts)
USD 67483 fonctionnaire sans personnes à charge
USD 72467 fonctionnaire avec personnes à charge au premier degré
Ajustement de Poste: 59.5 % des montants mentionnés ci-dessus. Ce pourcentage n'a qu'une valeur indicative et peut varier, chaque mois, à la hausse ou à la baisse.
