OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME :
A sound, well managed, responsive and efficient organization-wide Human Resources Management strategy and service delivery which support the work of WHO and its member states, encompassing, but not limited to: HR Policy Development and Planning, Organizational Design and Job Classification, Talent Management (including Succession Planning, Recruitment, Career Development, Rotation and Mobility, Organizational Diversity, Conditions of Service, Compensation and Benefits, Staff Development and Learning, HR Legal Advisory Services, Administration of Justice, HR Administrative Review, Global Staff/Management relations,
representation of WHO and influencing of inter-agency HR Common System initiatives, as well as the provision of global advisory services to management and staff. Within the Department of Human Resources (HRD), the Global Learning and Performance team (PML) aims at improving the management of the performance of WHO staff and at aligning staff development and learning with the strategic priorities and objectives of the Organization. This objective is pursued with a view to improving WHO's overall programme delivery.
Description of duties:
1. Using the WHO eLearning style guide, review existing WHO eLearning course material to identify its suitability for the eLearning platform.
2. Work with project owners who would like to create content for the eLearning platform to ensure that the quality and style is WHO appropriate.
3. Recommend externally produced eLearning content that is relevant to the WHO competency model and the Organizational priorities of WHO, that can be stored on the eLearning platform.
4. Contribute to the design of WHO specific content for the eLearning platform.
5. Contribute to the development of training materials for users of the eLearning platform.
6. Test eLearning material that is relevant to the WHO Management Development Programme.
7. Manage meetings, video-conferences and audio calls as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Essential
University degree in human resource management, public or business administration, or other related area.*

Skills:
Essential
Good level of oral and written communication.
Ability to work effectively in a team.
Knowledge and experience of learning technologies.
Ability to work effectively in environment of cultural diversity.
High level of initiative and engagement.

Experience:
Essential
A minimum of 2 years' experience in fields of staff development, learning design or related field in international setting.

Desirable
Experience of eLearning design.
Familiar with eLearning quality standards.
Familiar with the Cornerstone eLearning platform.
Languages:
Essential
Expert knowledge of English.

Desirable
Beginners knowledge of French.

Annual salary: (Net of tax)
USD 46730 at single rate
USD 49821 with primary dependants
Post Adjustment: 103.3 % of the above figure(s). This percentage is to be considered as indicative since variations may occur each month either upwards or downwards due to currency exchange rate fluctuations or inflation.
