- Responsible for providing support in ensuring GSC-PAY payroll processing operations are in compliance with internal and external/third party compliance obligations.
- Monitoring the payroll run activities and ensuring that payroll processing rules are adhered to errors and issues are timely addressed.
- Provides assistance and support to the Payroll Foundation Specialist in ensuring all business requirements are adequately documented and tested.
Description of duties:
The incumbent will performs the following duties;

- Responsible for performing analytical reviews of payroll transactions to identify errors and drive compliance to payroll guidelines;
- Responsible for monthly monitoring and reporting of GSC Payroll Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and maintenance of Dashboard;
- Responsible for timely reconciliation and corrections of Payroll general ledger accounts and Personal Accounts;
- Maintain and monitor monthly GSC Payroll and Pension processing calendar;
- Ensure timely and accurate updates of training required by the GSC Payroll team to ensure seamless interaction with the payroll process and system to ensure effectiveness of GSC Payroll;
- Responsible for updating and documenting all GSC Payroll/Pension processes through the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
- Assists and participates in GSC Payroll/Pension special projects including performance of data analysis and testing;
- Provides assistance to Payroll Foundation Specialist in documenting business requirements, Preparing Request for Changes, formulating the test plans and coordinating the user testing;
- Oversees/manages GSC Payroll electronic repository;
- Assists in functional knowledge transfer to the payroll operational team through:
a) Scheduled individual and group classroom training sessions and demonstrations,
b) Ad-hoc training and demonstrations by sitting with team members as required,
c) Written instructions and documents.
- Other duties as required.
- A university degree or diploma in Business, Accounting or related field.

- Advanced degree (MBA) and/or relevant certification.

- A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in the areas of financial and operational payroll processing using ERP application such as Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP etc;
- Excellent communication, analytical, planning, problem solving and trouble shooting skills;
- Knowledge and ability to apply accounting, finance, information technology principals and data analysis reviews;
- Knowledge of internal controls and business processes.

- Training experience;
- Experience in using performance management and monitoring tools such as key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards;
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent knowledge of English both written and spoken.

- Knowledge of another WHO official language.
