OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME :
The objective of the department of Operational Support and Services is to ensure high quality, consistent and responsive managerial and administrative services to all programmes and staff in headquarters, and where relevant, to all regions and offices of WHO, and to promote an efficient and collaborative customer-oriented working environment to achieve results. The Global Conference and Training Centre , under OSS also manages and supports the delivery of Conference and Training facilities and Services for WHO.
Description of duties:
Under the supervision of the National Professional Officer and the guidance of the Administrative Assistant, the incumbent will undertake the following tasks and duties:
1. Collect and distribute mail/messages among all offices;
2. Pack material received for dispatch, affix labels, insert workshop material in files and envelopes;
3. Operate the photocopier and make huge quantities of copies for WR Office if needed;
4. Provide services (tea, coffee) to the WHO official guests during the meetings;
5. Clean the offices as required, including floors, furniture, walls, doors, windows, carpets etc;
6. Keep office rooms, kitchen and toilets clean and hygienic;
7. Ensure the availability of cleaning supplies and kitchen utensils;
8. Report to the supervisor of any malfunctioning of the WHO Office sewage system and follow up on action taken;
9. Perform any other related duties assigned by supervisor.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Essential
Completion of primary school.
Skills:
The incumbent will be expected to maintain skills as related to his duties and show willingness to learn new ones if the need arises.

Experience:
Essential
Some previous work experience relevant to the job.
Languages:
Expert knowledge of Arabic is required for the post. Beginner's knowledge of English and intermediate knowledge of French are also required.

The following priority order will be observed in the screening of candidates: 1. WHO staff members )(Continuing, Fixed-term and Temporary appointments), 2. External candidates. A written test may be used for screening purposes. Other similar positions at the same level may be filled from this vacancy notice. This vacancy is published in English only. This post is subject to local recruitment and will be filled by persons recruited in the local commuting area of each office.
Annual salary: (Net of tax)
TND 9'613 at single rate
