GSC Pension Team - Global Payroll
The WHO Global Service Centre provides administrative services to all staff and all WHO offices worldwide in respect of human resources,
payroll, pension, procurement, accounts payable and support of specific corporate IT applications. The aim of this Centre is to serve as the global processing platform for the swift and reliable delivery of a comprehensive array of products and services covering all these fields.

While the HQ Pension Unit, based in Geneva is responsible for maintaining relationships with the UN Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF) and for the pension clearance for staff leaving the Organization, the GSC Pension Unit, based in the Payroll team, is primarily responsible for the day-to-day operation of pension administration activities. This includes the processing of affiliations and changes to employee status; monthly and annual reconciliations; producing annual reports and responding in a timely manner to matters raised by colleagues from HQ Pension unit and/or UNJSPF staff.
Description of duties:
The incumbent will assist colleagues with the day-to-day operations related to Pension administrative activities during the first stage of implementation of Pension functions in the GSC.

Under the direct supervision of the G6 Pension Assistant, the incumbent provides support to senior colleagues, during the first stage of implementation of Pension function in the GSC including clearing of workload. This will include:
- Reconciliation of transactions related to Pension activities;
- Participation in the preparation of Schedule A (Annual Report to UNJSPF) on a monthly and annual basis;
- Participation in the preparation of Batch status reports and Personal and dependant data;
- Participation in the Pension Exception Reports activities;
- Performs any other duties as required, including ad-hoc assignments within the Payroll Team, as determined by supervisors.
- Completion of secondary school education or its equivalent.

- Higher education or training in accounting or book-keeping an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and to prioritize the workload;
- Client service oriented;
- Good analytical skills;
- Good knowledge of Excel Computer literacy.

- A minimum of 3 years of relevant practical experience.

- Experience in the field of pension benefit administration;
- Experience in using an integrated financial management and reporting system such as Oracle.
- Good working knowledge of English both written and spoken.

- Working knowledge of French would be an added advantage.
